Biography

Ms. Jefferies began her career at WSSU in December 2014 as a University Program Associate in the former CETL department. Within this role, she also provided supportive faculty services to the Office of Faculty Affairs at WSSU. In her previous role within the CITI department at WSSU, Ms. Jefferies provided supportive University Program Specialist/Grant Coordinator program services in the areas of faculty support, People Admin, Teaching and Learning Grants, USH Mellon Grant, Online Course Development, CITI Institutes, CITI Instructional Designers, faculty/staff workshops, events, and served as QEP Liaison Assistant. Additionally, Ms. Jefferies has recently worked in the Office of Sponsored Programs as a University Program Specialist where she has provided Post Awards Contract Management in collaboration with Purchasing Services and Effort Reporting while collaborating with Contracts and Grants for PIs on grants.

In June 2023, Ms. Jefferies joined WSSU’s Office of Internal Audit Department where she serves as the University Program Specialist/Liaison.

Ms. Jefferies has previously served on WSSU’s Staff Senate Executive Board and Chair of the former Workplace Improvement Committee. Ms. Jefferies is very passionate about student success and has also served as an FYE Instructor and on the FYE Advisory Committee at WSSU. Within her community, she also previously served as Vice-Chair of the Thomasville City Schools Board of Education and participates in other committees.
