Video: U.S. 52 Research Parkway interchange opens

There’s a new way to get to Winston-Salem State University and Bowman Gray stadium from U.S. 52.

The Research Parkway interchange opened early on Thursday, July 13. The new interchange features a diverging diamond interchange that aims to improve traffic safety.

As previously reported, with the opening, the exit/entrance ramp for Rams Drive closed, and Rams Drive is closed to traffic for the installation of a new bridge.

 To enter WSSU’s campus:

  • From U.S. 52: Take the new Research Parkway exit and head follow the signs to Research Parkway East.
  • From Business I-40: Drivers can continue to use the Martin Luther King Jr. Drive exit.

We took a ride on the Research Parkway so you can get a better idea of how the new Research Parkway works.

From U.S. 52 North and from U.S. 52 South
