Biography

Dr. Kim had more than five years of practical experience in South Korea providing clinical services to children and youth with developmental disabilities before obtaining his Ph.D. from the University of Utah. Prior to joining WSSU in 2014, he worked as a research scientist at Indiana University and gained research experience by engaging and leading scientific studies and projects. His current research interests have evolved into research related to the health of marginalized populations, including parents of children with severe disabilities, children, and youth at risk, and racial health disparities in young and older adults. He has been consistently committed to providing undergraduate students with opportunities to engage in research and to advance their knowledge and skills needed to build better communities.
