The International Black Theatre Festival Celebrity Reception held July 26 at Winston-Salem State University was much more than a glamorous social event. It was defined by Chancellor Brown, who shared the excellence taking place on WSSU’s campus.

WSSU has received a $500,000 gift from the Cannon Family Charitable Trust, payable over five years.

WSSU Athletics kicked off its “Restore the Standard” Tour on July 7, giving alumni, donors and supporters an opportunity to hear directly from the coaches tasked with leading Rams athletics into its next era.

The N.C. budget is investing $45 million to elevate WSSU through landmark scholarship expansion, nursing workforce initiative, employee investments and major capital improvements.
