News for August

The WSSU Homecoming Parade will have a new look this year. The parade, which will kick off homecoming week, will begin at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 1, and feature a new route.

The Red Sea of Sound marching band and The Spirit of the Old Gold and Black will share the field as Wake Forest hosts Akron on Sept. 3 at Allegacy Financial Stadium.

Now, they are Ramily. The freshman class at WSSU was formally inducted into the “Ramily” Aug. 15 during the “Through the Archway” ceremony. 

WSSU's College of Business and Entrepreneurship brought together more than 40 business and industry leaders from across the country for its Industry Insight Skills Summit.

WSSU has named Dr. Bomani H. Spell as its new associate provost and vice chancellor for student affairs.

WSSU is back in the national spotlight after NBA legend Chris Paul’s WSSU degree was featured in a clue on ESPN’s new sports-themed version of “Jeopardy!”
