WSSU and the COVID-19 Impact
THE HBCU Equity Data Consortium is a collaborative parnership of HBCUs across North Carolina, including Winston-Salem State University, dedicated to advancing community-engaged health research. Through the COVID-19 Impact Survey, the consortium collected more than 11,000 responses from households across all six North Carolina Medicaid regions to better understand the pandemic's effects on health, finances, employement, and overall well-being. This work provides valuable data to inform health equity initiatives, guide community support efforts, and address disparities affecting underserved populations throughout the state.
