About SQEIP
Basic Program Information
- Duration: 8 weeks
- Stipend: $6,000
- Travel: $600 for traveling to/from WSSU
- Accommodation: SQEIP will offer housing on WSSU's campus for the duration of the program
Training: SQEIP offers seminar series, short lectures on QISE, and professional development workshops throughout the summer. - Fun: You will have 8 weeks exploring the best of the Winston-Salem metropolitan area :)
- Travel Grants: up to $600 for presenting your work at regional or national conferences (e.g., APS, MRS, IEEE)
Eligibility
- SQEIP is open to U.S. citizens and permanent residents
- Applicants should be enrolled in an undergraduate college or university, with anticipated graduation of December 2026 or later
- Preferred majors: physics, chemistry, materials science & engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering. Applicants from other fields are encouraged to contact the SQEIP team before applying.
- A minimum GPA of 3.2 out of 4.0.
- Able to participate full week
