Student Success Technologies

The Student Success Technologies offered by WSSU are designed to improve retention and graduation rates for undergraduate students. These tools are easy to use and accessible to students through MyWSSU.

 

 

 

MyWSSU

MyWSSU Student Portal is one-stop access to all the services students need to be successful at WSSU. The single sign-on empowers students to check email, access their course schedule, track grades, see announcements and much more. It’s easy to use and connects with any device with an Internet connection.

Adobe Creative Cloud

With Adobe Creative Cloud, you can access industry-leading creative desktop and mobile apps like Adobe Photoshop CC, Illustrator, CC, InDesign CC, Premiere Pro CC, and many more. Create, collaborate on, and distribute engaging digital class projects, research, proposals, and more. Use Adobe Spark digital storytelling apps to create social posts, web stories, and videos

Canvas

Canvas is WSSU’s new learning management system, replacing Blackboard. Canvas is easily adaptable, reliable, and customizable. It is designed to help better engage students in the learning process.   

 

Career Link

This enhanced version of RAMTRAK gives WSSU students and alumni the ability to apply for jobs, internships, and co-ops. This career management system allows users to manage their applications and RSVP for programs and workshops sponsored by the Office of Career Development Services. 

RAMPath - Degree Works

This web based tool helps students and advisors monitor progress towards degree completions. Degree Works RAMPath also allows students to see what courses they need to complete their program, use a GPA calculator, and try ‘What if’ scenarios to look at other degree program options.

Focus2

Focus 2 is a self-paced, online career and education planning system. It will enable students to make better decisions about their career goals and plans and learn how to self-manage their careers. Focus 2 guides students through the career planning process and save all of the results.

LinkedIn Learning logo

An online educational platform where students can discover and develop business, technology-related, and creative skills through expert-led course videos.  Students have up to date access to their LIL account via the MyWSSU student portal.  LIL can be used to supplement and improve their coursework while expanding their professional portfolio.

Navigate Student

This free mobile app is designed to get students from orientation to graduation. It’s a mobile advisor developed by the Educational Advisory Board (EAB) that enables students to manage their education and connect with the activities and resources at WSSU from their phones. The app helps students choose the right major, navigate requirements from financial aid to course registration, and stay on top of important dates and deadlines. Students can even set-up appointments with advisors. Navigate Student will become the main means for academic and administrative offices to communicate with students.

Office 365

Microsoft Office 365 is a cloud-based suite that ensures subscribers always have the most up-to-date version of Office applications in both Office Web Apps and Office desktop applications. This collection of services empowers students to organize class materials, share class notes, and collaborate on assignments in real time. Instructors can engage students in new ways and create interactive lessons to maximizes the learning process. Office 365 is full of powerful tools for WSSU students, faculty, and staff to access from their favorite devices.

RAMSync

The RamSync portal creates an online community and promotes student engagement. Students are able to connect and engage with WSSU student activities. Through RamSync, information sharing improves and student are in the know about extracurricular and co-curricular activities on campus. RamSync is accessible to students through their MyWSSU. 

Rave Guardian

This is WSSU’s official safety app. Rave Guardian puts safety directly into the hands of students, faculty, staff, and visitors. It allows two-way texting with a discrete and fully anonymous process for sending messages to campus police. Emergency notifications come through loud and clear, even without a cell signal. You can also set a virtual escort and timer. Download the Rave Guardian app for free from your Apple or Android device. 

UpSwing

WSSU students have access to 24/7 tutoring and coaching through UpSwing. This gives students access to support beyond Academic Services’ hours of operations. There are hundreds of coaches available in almost any subject. Online tutoring is free to all currently-enrolled WSSU students. 

Winston

WINSTON is a virtual assistant that allows students to text questions about nearly any enrollment or student life topic and get an immediate response without ever having to call, wait in line, or wait on email responses. It guides students through key enrollment processes, connects them to on-campus counselors, and is available 24/7 to answer questions about WSSU, student life, campus services, financial aid, housing and more. Admitted students receive an introductory text from Winston with an opt-out option.
