President's Message

Welcome to the Winston-Salem State University Staff Senate. Staff Senate serves as a bridge between the university administration and staff, and a liaison to the UNC System.

The body known as Staff Senate is the place where your concerns can be voiced and heard without retribution. We can focus our needs as staff members, obtain first-hand information from the UNC System, and find professional development opportunities that are directly related to our jobs and careers.

Staff Senate wants you to know that we are appreciative of all you do for this resilient and progressive HBCU, Winston-Salem State University. Our desire is to encourage unity, strive for internal and external equity, and to further the goals of staff as individuals and the university as a whole.  We hope to do this via open bi-directional communication, mutual trust, respect, and confidence. That said, we need your participation and input to ensure that this university is an employer of choice, where all can flourish both personally and professionally.
