WSSU's gerontology program is an Association for Gerontology in Higher Education (AGHE) Program of Merit. The field of gerontology explores the mental, physical, and social changes that people go through as they grow older. Older adults, especially those 85 years of age and above, constitute the fastest growing segment of the population, meaning that there will be many jobs in this field in the future. Studying gerontology will prepare you for graduate school and employment in aging-related settings.
