The Division of Nursing at Winston-Salem State University is a national premier nursing school based on excellence in education, research, and public service, as well as diversity in student population and program offerings.

WSSU Division of Nursing State Requirements for Licensure/Certification

The nursing programs are accredited by the Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education and are accepted in all states and jurisdictions for meeting educational requirements for licensure and certification by way of compact designation or applying for reciprocity in a state outside the compact designation.

The Division of Nursing satisfies the professional licensure and/or certification requirements in North Carolina and prepares students to sit for these examinations. However, requirements in other states may be different. If you are considering a nursing degree that leads to licensure and/or certification, please note that WSSU may or may not be able to advise whether a program meets requirements outside of North Carolina or in states outside the compact designation.
