The Technology Support Services (TSS) unit of The Office of Information Technology consists of the Technology Support Center, Computer Lab Support, and Software Licensing. The Technology Support Center provides level 1 and level 2 support for faculty, staff, and students at Winston-Salem State University. There are several instructional and departmental computing labs available to the RAM family throughout the university campus, all of which are maintained by Technology Support Services. Technology Support Services also oversees university wide centralized software licensing as well as helps coordinate and negotiate the software licensing held by various departments.
The goal of Technology Support Services (TSS) is to enhance the productivity of the university community through effective and efficient technical support, that is exemplified through excellent customer service. We achieve this by providing a customer focused single point of contact for professional, courteous customer service.
Call Center Support - The front-line, technical support contact for the university. Provides exceptional technical support to current students, faculty and staff by resolving computer-related issues via phone, 336-750-3431.
Onsite and Remote Computer Technical Support - provides a range of basic and advanced technical support, including installation, configuration and troubleshooting of university-owned desktops, laptops and related peripherals. Works collaboratively to resolve any number of interdisciplinary technology issues facing the campus.
Campus Computing Labs and Workgroup Lab Support - supports and maintains all computers running in student computer labs, specialized classrooms and common areas across the entire campus.
